About Me

Hi. Welcome to my very first blog posting. I made this blog for a reason. To Defend the Good and Insult the Crazy. Don't know what I'm talking about? Well let me fill you in. My favorite show in the world is Jon and Kate Plus 8. I love that family so much, and I know so much about them. It's as if they are part of my own family. I hate it when people say negative things about this family. Take this lady for example.http://truthbreedshatred.blogspot.com/. This lady has to be nuts. Apparently she is Aunt Jody's sister. For the past couple of days I have read everyone of her postings, only to come to the conclusion that this lady is crazy. Obviously she is jealous that her little sister gets to be on one of the most popular t.v. shows ever and she doesn't. She needs to get a life. Every thing she says about Jon, Kate, and the kids is a lie. Don't ever believe a word that this lady says. I don't know her name yet, but when I do i'll refer to her as that name. Sorry if I confuse you. There are just some people in the world that have to have everything. I hope you keep reading my blogs. I also hope you stop believing in what she says.

And you need a reality check. It's my blog I write it how I want to. And If I wanna spell "Jodi's" name like Jody I will. And you need to check your "assertions" because it is. You obviously are very old

Ok listen here. If you want to tell someone that what they are writing isn't true, then I would be talking to yourself. I read one blog of yours and just had to stop reading because all of it is lies. I only read true things. Because I am a true person. I speak the truth. And I am saying the truth when I say this. I can't wait for school to start because I am still young and I still enjoy life.

P.S. It's called tivo. I can watch Jon and Kate when I want to.

P.S.S. They get over 20 million views an episode. So how do you call that not popular.

The Unknown Comment Poster said...

I agree with the following terms:

1. Yes, you are apparently, very old.
2. What's the big deal? It's just a t.v. show. Why can't you let this fan have her fun enjoying the show she loves?
And 3. She CAN Tivo the episodes and watch them, that is a very good point.

P.S. I would like to stay unknown.

Ha. What a coward. She deleted all her comments.

LOL

I was totally embarrassed to be having an argument with a child.

Doesn't look like any other people want to talk to someone who writes whatever she pleases either -- true or not.

Have fun, hon.

(First it's P.S.... then it's P.P.S.)

What's sad is you consider this entertainment. I don't care what Jon & Kate do, but they're exploiting their children for financial gain. Just because 20 million people view each episode doesn't make that a valid reason to pimp your children in this fashion. I expect television producers to be reckless and do what it takes to make a buck. Fortunately, most parents put the welfare of their children first, and this something J&K aren't doing.

Please tell me you don't have children.

Change said...

You know people who watch the show know that the whole family is happy doing the show. All the kids take interest in the cameras, and the people who run them. Jon and Kate are not exploiting their children for financial purposes. They are not even exploiting them. There are just cameras there, that follow them around and show people what it's like to live in a family that large. It's such a memorable show with such memorable quotes. Here is one:...

Hey iloveeyore, when are you going to pull the stick out?

Jon & Kate are exploiting their children for financial gain. Without the children, there would be no show.

Adults can do what they want. If they want cameras in their home filming their daily activities and intimate moments, then that's up to them.

You're exactly what's wrong with society today. It's all about entertainment. You're entertained, so by golly, those kids are having a ball.

Please tell me you'll NEVER have children because you don't have the faintest clue what protecting your children and creating a nurturing environment for them to grow up to be healthy well-balanced adults.

'Reality' TV is Child Abuse

Dr. Laura Schlessinger
Monday, Oct. 25, 2004

For the life of me I can’t figure out how the title “Reality Television” came into being as a description of the sick, exploitive, vulgar, humiliating, dangerous, and often cruel programming gimmicks masquerading as entertainment

I think we should consider as “abuse”: having a minor child’s personal home life exposed on television for entertainment purposes; having a minor child’s inherent right to privacy breached…by their own parents!; having a minor child’s normal behaviors and emotional responses to family and life stresses perverted by the needs of producers and parents for “good television” – children will, of course, be pressured to be entertaining - that immediately distorts normal dynamics; the minor child exposed publicly and on tape.

This will certainly come back to haunt them in the future as people will form opinions about them which are based on these contrived and “unreal” extraordinary circumstances. Their futures likely will be negatively impacted by this exposure and humiliation.

Bottom line, the minor child’s welfare is clearly not the top concern of their parents, who are exploiting the dependency, love and innocence of their own children for an opportunity to be “celebrities.”

Please don’t give me the argument that any money that might be earned from the television experience or interviews or appearances, book deals, or endorsements are for their college fund. That would mean that damage we do to children today is okay as long as there is some long term financial benefit.

It is not enough to argue that these children have their parents’ permission – parents cannot legally pimp their children, yet this is precisely what is going on here.

The privacy and dignity of these children have been stripped from them. They are hawked by cameras as their so-called parents push the envelope farther than any responsible, loving, protective parent should, in an attempt to gain ratings and increase celebrity status. These children are left to deal with disturbing private matters in a public forum with the sole purpose being entertainment.

Certainly, there can be no pretense at education or spiritual elevation. This is pure, unconscionable, abuse of parental power and influence.

Enjoy the show, but please don't insult someone who is merely trying to let the world know how things really are. She's been there and seen it. Kate isn't a nice person. Too many people who have met her and know her say that for it to not be true. She has run off the relatives and close friends. The children are being made to work (be filmed) to support their family. Not many parents would do that to their children. Thank goodness.

The Unknown Comment Poster said...

Ok listen, first of all if she is making her children "work" on t.v. then why are they living their normal lives? It's because she isn't making them work, she's letting the t.v. crew into their lives just about everyday. They aren't working, they're just living as if they didn't know the camera's were there. All the kids, especially Aaden, love the camera! Anyway they aren't exploiting their children by letting the television camera's into their house. Sure she makes some money off of it but who cares? They need the money for everyday things and household items. Without the t.v. show, they would both have to be working and they would have to hire a baby sitter and so on. So just realize that they AREN'T exploiting their children!

Let's put it into perspective here. Imagine having cameras coming into your home. Ok now imagine them watching everything you do. Ok I'm imagining that. And to me it just makes you guys sound even more stupid. Because cameras capturing what you do in life is normal. People take video cameras and film their life all the time. So consider Jon and Kate just hiring videographers to video tape their kids lives. They do that because they don't want to miss a moment of their kids lives. Wouldn't you like to just grab a dvd and watch the funny things your child says or does? Exactly. That's just what their doing. Only they let the rest of America share the happiness and joy of their family with the rest of the world. And who says I'm a child?

Terri said...

It's exploitation of the children. If J&K need money, they can get jobs. The children are the reason the cameras are there. Without them, there would be no show, hence, the kids are the ones bringing in the income.

Fortunately, the vast majority of parents are good ones and would never put their children in this situation to make a buck.

Change said...

Did it ever occur to you that maybe they are putting their kids on t.v. because they and the kids want to? Because they don't mind people seeing their daily lives? Because it started out as a 1 hour documentary, and they like the crew there so much that they decided to do a show. So maybe they are also being good parents by letting they kids decide what they want to do

iluveeyore said...

OMG!

"So maybe they are also being good parents by letting they kids decide what they want to do"

You do NOT let 16-month-olds -- or 4-year-olds and 7-year-olds -- "decide what they want to do."

You will come up with any bizarre statement to support what you think you are trying to do. Do you have any idea what you are trying to do? It sounds like you are trying to convince yourself that Jon and Kate are wonderful parents and the kids are just thrilled to have their potty training out there for the world to see -- forever.

This comment might be hard to follow, but re-read it a few times.

(I don't have any stick, honey. I'll bet that was the funniest comment you've ever come up with.)

iluveeyore said...

BTW, can you spell anybody's name correctly?

Change said...

Sorry, I wanted to use proper grammer when spelling your name. Jon and Kate are being good parents. Yes so the kids are 4 and 7. But letting them choose is helping them in life. When those kids get older all they are going to make is decisions. Preparing them early on is a great parenting skill. All of their kids are smart too. They all know their alphabet and numbers. They have known those for a long time. So obviously they are good parents if they are taking time with them to help all six learn their abc's.

Oh and that comment was really funny! I'm still laughing!!! And you obviously knew where it came from too, meaning you obviously watch the show, so i laugh harder. TEE HEE!!!

And atleast my comments and posts actually have a sense of humor!!!

Enjoy!!

Terri said...

"Because it started out as a 1 hour documentary, and they like the crew there so much that they decided to do a show."

Duh, why didn't I think of that! Sure, that's the reason J&K allow the privacy of their children to be invaded. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Children are children. They don't make decisions. Good parents don't put their children in bad situations. And it's especially sickening that J&K are basically pimping their kids for $$$.

How may of those 20 million viewers would tune in to watch only J&K? None.

You come up with the craziest excuses as to why you watch this show. It's not ok for the kids. Watch it if you must, but don't think this is good for those kids, it's not. If the people who find this so entertaining would stop and think about the kids, and tune it out, TLC would drop J&K like a hot potato.

Terri said...

"But letting them choose is helping them in life. When those kids get older all they are going to make is decisions. Preparing them early on is a great parenting skill.'

Babies and children aren't equipped to be making decisions of this nature. A four-year-old choosing a flavor of popsickle that he wants, is more along the norm for that age.

Children and babies are normally protected by their parents, but not in this case.

How old are you? 13? I know I've said I hope you don't have kids, but now I am hoping you don't have pets. I fear for their safety.

iluveeyore said...

I cannot believe that you think they are filming the everyday, "normal" lives of this family.

If you want to be FAIR AND OPEN MINDED, go to that blog you hate so much and read "Spontaneity is a Luxury They Can't Afford."

No one in this family is having "normal" days. On the last show, Kate even said the kids are staying up later and have a "hectic schedule." What 4-year-old has a hectic schedule? Do you understand how bizarre that is? They are PERFORMING... with no union to limit their hours and no income being put aside for them. (If income were being put aside for the kids, you know we would have heard about it.)

P.S. Of course I watch the show (or trainwreck). I never said that I didn't.

iluveeyore said...

P.S. Jon didn't exactly make up that stick comment. It's been around since before I was born. So I didn't have to know where it came from.

Change said...

well obviously you didn't pay attention to all of what kate said. she said " ever summer the kids have a hectic schedule. we like for them to do more things and have fun so therefore they stay up later than we want them to"

to twinkle2: i also hope you don't have kids because if i was your kid i would be angry that i had you as my mother. and if i was your dog a would run away.

And I am also glad i could clear things up for you. glad to be of service!!!

iluveeyore said...

well obviously you didn't pay attention to all of what kate said. she said " ever summer the kids have a hectic schedule. we like for them to do more things and have fun so therefore they stay up later than we want them to"

You're unbelievable. That is NOT what Kate said. She said that during the summer the kids are tired because they've been staying up late. "They have a hectic schedule."

Not one word about wanting them to do more things and have more fun.

Now you're pulling answers out of your ........ Do you realize how ridiculous you sound?

(By the way, it is good to teach kids to make decisions. Like corn flakes OR rice krispies. NOT do you want to be on a reality show?)

Change said...

Well one day when your kids are all grown up they arn't going to be prepared for life because the only decisions you let them make were cornflakes or rice crispies. On the other hand the Gosselin's will be CEOs of Large Businesses

iluveeyore said...

ROTFLMAO

The Gosselins will be CEOs of large businesses? Just like their daddy and mommy? They are CEOs of the Gosselin business. Just have 8 kids and make a crapload of money.

My kids ARE grown up. Graduates of MIT and Princeton.

Please learn more about raising children before you go off half-cocked and make any more ridiculous statements.

Ooh you wanna know what I just did? I just made a good point. Obviously that show is not for money purposes. Here is why:

If you think that Kate actually hurts Jon and that Kate is some obsessive awful mother your wrong. Because if Kate was like that Jon, being a good parent, would remove the kids from the situation, cancel the show, and divorce Kate. You think that they have a lot of money. So assuming that then he would go ahead and do it, knowing that both of them would do financially well. But unfortunatly for you, they don't use the show for money purposes and Kate is not an obsessive awful mother. If it was like that don't you think that Jon would put up with it? No.

And contrary to what most people believe, Jon does work from home. In a recent episode it says that Jon works from home so he can spend more time with the kids, and it showed him working.

iluveeyore said...

"they don't use the show for money purposes and Kate is not an obsessive awful mother. If it was like that don't you think that Jon would put up with it?"

If they don't use the show for money purposes, WHY do they do the show? And where are they getting their money from? They have NOT shown Jon working at home. If anything, he is reading forums and blogs about them on the internet.

And YES -- Jon would put up with it and is putting up with it. He has very little ambition and goes through jobs like wildfire. He has no desire to go back to work, which he might have to do if the show stopped.

As for the kids making choices... Do you remember the episode in which Hannah gets sent to time out for putting her cereal on the table because she wanted cereal WITHOUT MILK? Not only don't they ask them if they want cereal with/without milk, they don't even give them a choice of cereal. The cereal is put into a bowl and plopped down in front of them.

How do you know that Kate "is not an obsessive awful mother"? Do you think every mother leaves her babies in their cribs while she continues to sleep, drink her coffee, and make breakfast? Do you think every mother locks her kids in their rooms for a 3-hour nap every day? On what are you basing your statements?

Change said...

Yes, every mother with a young kid does put the kid in its room for a couple of hours for a nap. Because little kids need naps not so she can "get away" And it's also healthy for babies to cry a little. They don't need picked up everytime they start whining. Sometimes all you have to do is leave them alone and they will be fine. I'm surprised you didn't know that being a "mother" and all.

iluveeyore said...

So now you're just deleting my comments -- if they don't agree with your warped theories about raising children?

Toodles!
